Week 14

Final test for the function of the project

Everything is already put in the box

Ready for testing

 Display on Visual Basic.

This is at main trip and back up off condition

When the back up turn on back using SMS.

The indicator of back up will green.

Week 13

 

Prepare cover for the circuit.

Using plywood material for cover because of price more cheaper.

Week 12

Try to connect circuit with GSM and PC to see the operation of the system.

Week 11

Study on visual basic software to enable it to communicate with PC.

Microsoft visual basic is used to monitor system via PC. 
Signal from the system will be sent to the GSM.
Condition of system will be show at PC.
It can make easy to monitor the system.

Week 10

Finding a electrical part.

Relay

Relay omron 240VDC will use.

Contactor

Week 9

Preparing for electrical part.
Finding a diagram for contactor.
Finding a part for motor contactor.
Chose suitable relay for circuit.

Week 8

Construct RS232 for connecting with PC.
This circuit using max232 in operating.

Supply provided by the host interface.

Week 7

Soldering circuit with componen as a schematic diagram.

Using push button for temporary while for testing.

LCD will display the condition of system.

Week 6

Briefing at Gemilang Hall on 16 Feb 2012.
Brief discussion about the format of reports should be sent at the end of this semester.

 Trying to develop a circuit.
 Etching printed circuit board.

Week 5

PCB layout

1.  The PCB layout is a mirrored positive one - black on white.
2. Mirrored as viewed from the silkscreen top (component) side.
3. The PCB layout is printed 1:1 on paper by means of a laser printer or copier machine.  
4. The laser printer or copier toner will not run out when it gets wet or oily.
5. The ink of an inkjet paper print does run out and inkjet printers are therefore useless with the described method.

 Circuit Diagram

1. Very popular microcontroller.
2. A lot of references and a very good supports by the manufacturer
3. So many choices of microcontroller design with different function and application

Week 4

Summary of the flow circuit

Main switch will control circuit in normal condition.

The system will display the condition of motor control system in PC

When a main switch failure, PC will display a main switch trip and at the same time SMS will send to mobile phone.

To turn it back, SMS will replay with a command BACKUP ON or also can turn it on with manually.

Backup just for temporary.

If backup also trip, this system will totally off and will display in PC and sending SMS.

In this condition, system should will turn on manually.
